St. Augustine's Choir
St. Augustine’s choir sings weekly at the Choral Eucharist at 10 am on Sundays, as well as services on Holy Days throughout the year. The choir leads the congregation in the singing of hymns and other liturgical music. We also present anthems taken from a wide repertoire drawn from diverse styles and periods. Membership in the choir is open to everyone who enjoys singing. The ability to read music is not required. Anyone interested in joining the choir or with questions regarding the choir’s ministry is encouraged to speak with Tom Hall, music director.
Instrumentalists are encouraged to participate in the musical life of the church through the presentation of preludes and other music, and playing with the choir when there are anthems requiring various instruments. If you play an instrument, please let Tom Hall know so we can include your talent in our worship.
“When in our music God is glorified, and adoration leaves no room for pride, it is as though the whole creation cried, Alleluia!”
